9 UAP Members to be conferred the title APEC Architect

The members of the APEC Architect Monitoring Committee of the Philippines (AAMCP) composed of representatives from the United Architects of the Philippines, the Professional Regulation Commission – Professional Regulatory Board of Architecture, and the Commission on Higher Education Technical Panel in Architectural Education, convened on September 4 and October 1, 2010 to evaluate the application of UAP Members to be accepted in the APEC Architect Registry.

Per the documents and evidences they have submitted and their evaluation by the AAMCP, the following are qualified to be accepted to the APEC Architect Registry:

2. ARCH. CARLOS F. LACUNA, UAP
3. ARCH. ERNESTO ANTONIO D. NASOL, UAP, FPIA
4. ARCH. ERIBERTO V. AGUIRRE, FUAP
5. ARCH. ROMMEL A. AGULTO, UAP
6. ARCH. KA KUEN T. CHUA, FUAP
7. ARCH. EDGAR S. CALMA, UAP
8. ARCH. DANILO M. FUENTEBELLA, FUAP
9. ARCH. NORBERTO M. NUKE, FUAP, LIKHA AWARDEE

As a Likha Gold Medal Awardee of the United Architects of the Philippines, the AAMCP decided to honor Arch. Norberto M. Nuke by enrolling by enrolling name in the APEC Architect Registry without any need for the submission of the usual requirements for applicants. According to the AAMCP, the Likha Gold Medal that had been bestowed on him is the highest honor UAP can bestow on a Fellow of the UAP, and as such, no further proof of his competence is necessary.

The conferment rites for the title of APEC Architect will be held during the Honor Dinner of the International Conference of Architects on October 9, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
